aus is Yasuhiko Fukuzono from Tokyo, Japan and he is one of the leading figures of the Japanese electronic music scene of today. Some of you may be familiar as the guy behind the renowned FLAU label. ReCollected is a collection of his past remix works, selected and compiled by Plop label and aus himself, from his vast remix productions he has accomplished during 2006 to 2012. Unlike some unfriendly remixes, the tracks here proves that not only he is a perfectionist and a skilled producer, but also his diversity transforming the original materials into a high grade down beat, house, electroica, post classic music - from the uplifting Geskia! And the Storms tunes to the more melancholic Tujiko Noriko and Cokiyu songs. 70 minutes comprising 15 tracks capturing the traces of this electronic genius, including many tracks that are already difficult to find. - FYE
"...refuses to sit still. spewing shards of folk, house, and industrial techno into the surrounding environs in a fleet-footed, cacophonous bout of organized chaos...Twitchy and restless yet thoroughly engrossing." - XLR8R
"frantic jazz rework from Japanese electronic busyboy" - DUMMY
"ReCollected is that rare beast, a remix of the hard work of a diverse range of artists that plays with utter coherency. Absolutely the best remix set of the year so far and well placed in the running for compilation or why not even album of the year." - Igloo Magazine
"A neat technique that Yasuhiko has fun with is giving different song lives to the different key based instruments, both mimicked and live that work together to make a jubilant sound." - Impose Magazine
"a master not only of taste but of exquisite sound production" - The 405
